No One is Illegal

just checking out the site on the beginning of my 10.10.10 day. i have a small nit to pick about the upload form. No One is Illegal! the checkbox should say something else, like "are you legally an adult?" or "are you a minor" - not "are you a legal adult". everyone is legal.

I've been listening to what i recorded earlier. I have some nice haunting moments that i can add some big reverb to maybe + some very striking events, like a kid jumping on a stair banister to slide down + a nice moment in a street where some clarinet was playing + 2 women going down stairs with a child in a push chair.

In the beginning ~

Maxine today at 17 years of age. On August 18th 1998 at 3pm in the afternoon I was told that Maxine had a deadly disease called Type 1 Diabetes. This call came in about 2 hours after a kindergarten physical when Maxine climbed off the exam table and said she had to "potty". Sleeopout

The sleepout was very successful, considering the short lead time and selective publicity. So far over AUD51,00 raised and still counting.

There were plenty of tents - MissionBeat Dan called them, cheating and I thoroughly agree though let's face it, the soft double foam mattress under us was pretty indulgent. We find a good spot under a spreading Morton Bay Fig, soft, with an angled view of the giant outdoor movie screen so we could watch Cloudy Then Meatballs (death by giant food)… Continue

Prepping the camera and equipment

I'm about to go and make sure the cameras are in order and everything is ready for tomorrow. I won't start filming until I get up. No all nighter for me! I'll do what I can within the limits of the day. My plan is to try to get footage of my favorite winter bird that just arrived in my neck of the woods this month. The golden crowned sparrow.
