The World's Story is Yours to Tell

One Day on Earth is home to some of the worlds greatest motion-control time lapse photographers, and this week we're proud to introduce the newest participant to fit that description, Alessandro Della Bella.

One Day on Earth: Who are you and what is your profession?
Alessandro:I'm a press photographer working for an agency. My name is Alessandro Della Bella.

One Day on Earth: Can you tell us a little about your background and upbringing?
Alessandro: I grew up in Arosa, a most beautiful town in the Swiss Alps. I love photography, nature and nighttime.
Today I live in Zurich, but return to the mountains whenever possible.

One Day on Earth: What inspired you to become a filmmaker?
Alessandro:I'm not a real filmmaker. Time-lapse became my favorite hobby because it combines many of my passions. Switzerland's impressing landscape inspires my photography. Time-lapse adds a new dimension to this beauty.

One Day on Earth: Who or what do you most admire?
Alessandro: This is a difficult question. It's the miracle of life with its infinite number of big and small wonders to discover every single day.

One Day on Earth: What do you have?
Alessandro: mountains. snow. clean water. friends. independence.

One Day on Earth: What do you need?
Alessandro: fresh air. freedom. peace of mind. love

One Day on Earth: What are you planning on filming for 12.12.12?
Alessandro: It will be one day before new moon. That's perfect for a starry night time-lapse in the Alps, if weather conditions allow it.
