I first heard about
One Day on Earth from
my colleague Galvin. It seemed like a great project for our students, and we spent some time on Friday talking about the event and how we could encourage our students to participate. So today would be my mom's 78th birthday---heck, it still is, she just is not with us since she passed away on July 14th. What a cool birthday to have.
I am dedicating this day to her, the exceptional, though difficult at times =) mom that always had my back and was the woman who gave me life. And on a Sunday makes this day even more special for me since it aligns with my religious beliefs.
I will spend today in her honor thinking of the good times, the tender moments, and…

18:14 i've been having a break around 16:00 to help my son with his homework (like learning all the names of the capitals of European countries and the date when they each joined the EEC...)
I've added some piano to the track + a tape delay to make it really smooth and light.
i've also added different drum sounds to get some more energy at some times.
I'm thiniking of adding a bass now for the middle part.

so, on the spur of the moment, i decided to go for it!
i filmed a nice average lazy afternoon in kaiserswerth, the little town i live in.
it is situated just north of Düsseldorf, and i tried to show the closeness of our community, so i ran around with a friend and captured some of the areas in and around the town :)
