I noticed as I was filming this morning how much more aware of my surroundings I was as well as my interaction within the setting. Very interesting. Remained quieter while checking camera on tripod, and didn't sing very loudly on the drive in as I was filming. This gives one a rather new perspective on the day knowing that it will likely be viewed by MANY other people who don't know me. Really wish that this was yesterday, when I wasn't working and had a very fun and full day. Oh well.

Juts like last year on 101010, i've composed, recorded, mixed and mastered an instrumental track today.
I've got tons of images to edit now, think i'll be ok tonight or tomorrow morning.
Quite a different track this time, but still using field recording (nature sounds), electronic drums, piano and orchestra.

Há lixo na mente de quem atenta contra a reserva de Mindelo... acredito que felizmente há muita gente que pode fazer…

Having a rest at home I took the newspaper and wondered "what's on today?"

Not any good news today...…

After lunch I felt a bit lazy, so, in place of siesta I decided to document the inmediatly places I see every day, that's a chronicle of my corner.

Watching the first footage from this morning I realized how beautiful is Giralda tower and remembered a great painter from here, Amalio, who used to paint that tower in different days and seasons.

Now the evening came over the town, but we still have 5 hours here to get new images!…

After setting out this morning at 6am I managed to only get short clips this morning due to some highly unusual weather here in Portugal.

My initial idea was to film the fishermen and fish markets this morning, however upon entering the fish market I was soon escorted out by security due to their mistrust of anyone with a camera. Paco is butcher at Encarnación Market. He just asked me to shoot his work and we started to talk and laugh for some minutes. Paco loves the motion pictures, and on his free time he writes screenplays and acts for professional films. Actually, he has appeared on 16 movies until now!
