I am looking forward to this shoot! What am I going to find, how well am I going to be excepted? I am intrigued and taken by what children see? What do they think? The various ages of children, what am I going to find? Joy, Simpleness, Fear, Innocences, what?
I pray that this project when shared with the world will speak to not only me be to the many that view it.
I want to show the world the beauty that is everywhere. I believe absolutely everything is beautiful and i want to showcase that in any way possible. The camera is a canvas, and i want to paint it with the pictures around me.

Well, we have had an eventful afternoon. Saturday's launch on 10.9.10 which was predicted to be the safe launch did something very unexpected, with the burst of the balloon being delayed due to various factors. This lead to the payload travelling an additional 50-60km furtther than expected. The end result was that the payload landed in the ocean about 100m off shore. While we recovered it, the electronics were damaged, and so that payload will now not be available for 10.10.10.

Just trying to get stuff organised for tomorrow - hope to be up early to film the sun coming up over the mountains and then perhaps to get some shots of the local bush. This morning on my walk I came across some kangaroos with their young joeys and I am hoping they will still be around tomorrow. From that point on I hope to explore the remnant bush areas near where I live and to record the flora and fauna. Looking forward to the challenge. Marie

Well, as a trial run, Horus 8 is being flown today with two telemetry packages and the camera payload. This will give us a good idea of how things will work tomorrow morning.
Here is the current plot predictions showing where the balloon is from it's launch site to now - placing it 22.5km up. We expect to pack up and prepare to retrieve it in about 1.5hrs time!

We’re sorry we hurt you. We’re sorry we torture you. We’re sorry we burn you for fun. We’re sorry we poke you. We’re sorry we prod you. We’re sorry we subject you to a lifetime of pain so we can eat you. We’re sorry we kick you just to feel better about ourselves. We’re sorry we rip the skin off your bones while you’re still alive. We’re sorry we sell you in pet shops and then abandon you when we’ve had…
