My name is Leslie M. and the One Day on Earth project is for my Civics class period 8. The One Day on Earth project is very unique. This project is a great way for us to view nature in a new perspective. For our project, we chose to take at least 4 pictures of two different spots around our houses at different points in the day. This gave us a chance to capture the different ways the shadows stretch across the ground. I feel this project went relatively well and I wouldn't change anything. The… Continue

I'm Lacey E in Sal's Honors Civics Class. The project I did, I was with five other people, and we took pictures of two objects around our houses outside to show the changes in them throughout the day. After we all took our pictures, we created a video on Animoto. I think our end result was okay but it was just too chaotic for me. There was too much responsibility spread out amoung too many people. If I were to do this project again I would work by myself or in a smaller group. Overall I thought… Continue

My name is Zach I and I am a freshman. I'm in Mr. Salvucci's 8th period honors civics class. Over the past few weeks we have been working on One Day On Earth projects. My project idea was to take a picture of my street every 30 minutes. I chose those because it was a fun and educational way to do my project. I followed the guidelines and did everything right on time. I think the project I did turned out very well and so did my fellow group members did just as well. If I could change anything in… Continue

Hi , my name's Haley , I'm 14 and in Mr. Sal's period 8 civics class . For my groups project we each took pictures of nature . We each were to take at least 4 pictures , two in the morning of two different objects then two in the afternoon or night of those same two objects . Hello my name is Kaitlyn M. and I'm in Mr. Sal's period three class. My project idea was to take ten pictures of things my friend and I did on October 10, 2010. I chose to take ten pictures, because I thought it would be neat to show everyone in my class and on the internet of what we did. I think my project idea was good and I did a job completeing it, although I had a few problems. The only thing I would change about my project would be taking more time to work on it and find different ways… Continue

Hi my name is Amanda K in econ/POD. For my one day on earth project I took pictures of different businesses such as, gas stations, car shops, and stores. I chose to do this to see what people were doing as far as getting their car fixed to getting suplies from stores. This was not a project that I liked because I am not that talented on the computer and was not sure how I was suppose to make the pictures into some type of video. With help I was at least able to make a simple video out of my ten… Continue

Hello, I am Josh B In Mr. Sal's PoD class in period 3 and recently we completed a project having to do with One Day on Earth. This project is about many different things that happened on 10-10-10 all around the world. For our project Stewart S, Aaron C, Sean B, and I took pictures of firemen during their job, we meshed the pictures together into a video and put a song to it, we chose to follow the firemen because we respect their work and how they volunteer to help people with nothing in… Continue

Hey it's DT again. We as Mr. Sal's POD period 3 class just finished our one day on Earth project. I did my project with two other people and our topic was jobs that teenagers have. We picked this because it's something we feel people over look. We feel alot of teenagers work tiring jobs and this was a way to show everyone what common jobs are for teenagers. I think our project will be good but if I could change anything I would have people taking pictures of me working rather than just things I… Continue

Hello, my name is Mitch V and I am a student in Mr. Sal's 8th period Honors Civics class. Over the last few weeks we have been working on a project called One Day On Earth. For our project, our group did a time lapse. We chose this project because we thought it would be a fun, entertaining, and educational experience. Each member of the group was required to make a time lapse of at least ten pictures. My pictures were of a view from my porch, and I took twelve pictures from 1:30 P.M - 7:00 P.M.… Continue

Hello, I'm Olivia, and I'm in Mr. Sal's economic class. We recently did a project dealing with the One Day on Earth project, which is expanded much farther than just our classroom. It is a pretty neat project where on the day of 10/10/10, everyone was to document thier day either by video or pictures. For my project, I chose to work individually. I worked on 10/10/10, so I took pictures throughout my work day. Also, after work, I took pictures of things going on around where I spent my… Continue

On 10-10-10, members of Green Earth, Inc., the Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship, and Girl Scout Troop 8166, cleared a trail for hiking within the town of Carbondale, Illinois.
Continue

My final plan for filming on 10.10.10 was to try and capture images of things I felt made my home city of Adelaide unique. The raw footage for this has now been uploaded, and tonight I have finished my own short film version of that content. While I won't be submitting the edited footage formally, I have placed it directly on Vimeo for all to see and have embedded it here for you to enjoy.
Hopefully this inspires others to complete their own works for this amazing… Continue
