Profile Spotlight: Luis Cage

Who are you and what is your profession?
My name is Luis Cage Barroso. For the past 10 years, I have done editing, animation and vfx for commercials and movies. I have an small animation studio in Mexico called Pleylab.

Can you tell us a little about your background and upbringing?
I was born in Puebla, Mexico and I studied graphic design

What inspired you to become a filmmaker?
The passion for telling histories. I grew up watching so many music videos, and the life just took me this way.

Who or what do you most admire?
I admire the work of Stanley Kubrik, Michel Gondry and Traktor.

What did you film on 10.10.10?
I followed my wife with the camera from the time she woke up, until she goes to the doctor to get a sonogram of our baby boy.
