Can you tell us a little about your background and upbringing?

As a small child, 30 years ago, I was fascinated by the two cameras of my father, a Super 8 camera and the SLR. He even let me try both of them out. 6 years ago, I bought my first SD camcorder and since 3 years I am filming in HD. In addition to that, I have been trying with my DSLR for 2 years to make good photos. Unfortunately my photographic education is missing.

What inspired you to become a filmmaker?

Filmmaker is big word. I'm not a filmmaker. At first I mainly wanted to capture my trips on film. Apart from that, I believe that filming and photographing also giving me a great opportunity to regularly go out into nature.

Who or what do you most admire?

I admire the two German wildlife filmmakers Ernst Arendt and Hans Schweiger ( http://www.tierevorderkamera.de ), since 1977 they are producing very good films about wildlife.

What did you film on 10.10.10?

I had filmed the cranes resting on the German Baltic Sea.

What are you planning on filming for 11.11.11?

is not yet clear, but certainly something about our beautiful nature.
