The World's Story is Yours to Tell

Ladies and gentlemen... Alessandro Beltrame.

Who are you and what is your profession?
My name is Alessandro Beltrame, I was born and I live in Italy.

Can you tell us a little about your background and upbringing, and what inspired you to be a filmmaker?
“Storytelling through images“: this is what I attempt when I am fortunate enough to encounter extraordinary places, people and situations.

Fifteen years worth of traveling and documenting, numerous experiences, evolving technology, and both new people and situations, all of which have I have somehow always managed to learn from. Our nurturing and tutoring Mother Nature. The curiosity of discovering about Her, from the seemingly insignificant to Her most ancient secrets.

There is an old Indian saying which states that we won’t be remembered for what we have said or done but for how we made people feel.
This is who I am and what I do. Had I written merely explorer, climber, cameraman, scuba diver and filmmaker perhaps you would not have understood.

What are your heroes?
No traditional heroes, I like the people that are able to do what they want without being influenced by commercial needs. The balance is awkward but possible. I'm still looking, but I've seen it….

What story do you want to tell on 10.10.10?
Something about nature with men… or better an emotional game between people and natural elements, something that might seem a common experience, but that takes the viewer on a journey deep inside. I hope…

Why is this important to you?
It's an opportunity to leave and to share emotions… and why not? To raise our consciousness and responsibility for the earth.

One of the great privileges in my life was to walk on that same glacier in Patagonia. Thank you for giving me so much more to see of that amazing and beautiful place. Visually stunning video of a visually stunning place...
