One Day on Earth

The World's Story is Yours to Tell

I sat at the waters edge watching loons play. Worked on my creative endeavor - building a tiny camp among the Spruce and Cedar. Watched as the squirrel packed away food for the winter. Drove into town to hang out with a bunch of friends in recovery. Tried to capture the subtle glory of my day for this project. It felt "spiritual" though I don't remember if I prayed (outside of the meeting) - certainly didn't go to church / temple - I just had a great day.

Does that qualify?

Sometimes I find myself having a spiritual reflection on life in the most mundane of situations, or calm places where I give myself time to let go, or in moments around the eucharist. Spiritual moments for me, can happen in many places and many times. Sounds like you had an awesome day.
Thank you, it was an awesome day. I believe the awareness of the day, heightened by this project, made it even more awesome. Regrets of the past and fears of the future took a back seat to that day's focus on my project and the environs.

I hope yours was awesome as well.

Thanks ... yes it was. I filmed parts of the services we held in St Andrews Church, Cambridge NZ. It was the celebration of the feast of St Francis combined with a pet service. Dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, lambs, all sorts of animals - lots of fun, reflections on creation and our life in the midst of God's love in the midst of us all. Hoping to get the footage uploaded soon.
