Hey, everyone! Just finished for today - after 12 hours. (Got up at 5 am to film early morning ferry arriving.) So I'm well tired! Your time lapses sound great! Yes, there were some amazing clouds formations down here, too. Can't wait to see the fish market. I've got local fishermen on their caique throwing out nets in the early morning with beautiful silver light - and they send their catch to Athens usually. So you might have filmed their catch from a few days ago which they would have sent on the F/B Diagoras, the ferry I filmed first thing today. :-)

Good afternoon people!

I started time-lapse-ing in downtown athens at 1 through 4 (freezing).
Will set up another one now, and then I m off to meet some friends for some 11-11-11 silkscreen printing! I planning on shooting the sunset to ( I was too tired and missed the sunrise ;( )

Hey everyone! Great ideas from Chania and Tilos! The fish market will give great footage too! We just shot our first four hours! We decided too to avoid crisis related themes like Sibylle commented. So we filmed the sunrise over Athens! An ordinary day with beautiful cloudy skies moving fast over the city. Later on we'll film the sunset too! Meanwhile recharging and ingesting.. :)

Just shot the first four hours of the day. Great full moon night!
In a few hours we'll be shooting at the fish market downtown!

Hi Ioli and everyone,
hmm, Chania and hmmm, hiking in Crete, sounds lovely. I think the Cretan mountains (I suppose that's where you'll be) will be spectacular, so sounds like a great plan! Fingers crossed your trek can go on as scheduled.
And - because you asked for other ideas - you could combine the sport aspect (maybe some rock-climbing, too?) with nature (could you get a sunrise or sunset time lapse in the mountains? or some mountain goats or birds?) and maybe cultural things: mountain village impressions, herders, vegetation, tourism... Ah, now I miss Crete, it's been too long since I've last been there!

Yes, crisis-wise I think the islands are a bit sheltered - though of course there are certain things that concern every Greek, like non-existent pensions etc... But not sure whether that is the event of the day. It seems like tomorrow is the deadline for the 6th tranche of part of the rescue package to be paid out - but that's a bit hard to film on a remote island unless you go out and interview people... (Those were my ideas so far in regards to the crisis topic.)

I am planning to film two things: one art project - a short film about a painter (who happens to be my mum) doing her latest painting in a series of abstract images. I will include images of the nature here as well, since some of that is related to her choice of paints, colours, etc. Then, time permitting, I am also planning to capture impressions of the island's nature (beach, harbours, vegetation, animals) and possibly a few scenes in the village. It's a lot, so I might have to drop some of it, but I've scheduled to film during the whole day and see what I come up with. (And if there are references to the crisis, even the better. I'll just keep that topic at the back of my head.) Nature shots will depend a little on the weather - it's starting to get a bit cloudy here with southerly winds so we might have some spectacular (and rather rare) rainfalls... We will see. Good luck everyone with your filming!

Well i m in Chania of Crete and i 've decided to film a trekking trip that i m scheduling.. though nothing is sure until friday comes..
As long as the crisis is concerned here things are much better than in Athens were i am from.. so nothing interesting can be filmed with that subject in Chania though i think it's very important to have a representative video of the situation in Greece.
If you have some others ideas concerning nature and sports let me know ..

How many of you are NOT in or around Athens or Thessaloniki?
I'm based on the island of Tilos at the moment and was wondering whether there will be other contributions from rural Greece.

And will any of you film anything ΚΡΙΣΗ/crisis-related?
Not decided on that one yet. While it is surely important considering recent political developments, I think maybe I am fed up with images of Greece in trouble and want to show that there is life in Greece beyond the crisis. What do you think?

hey people! have you decided yet what you're filming on Friday? We most probably will do a double session, with half of the day in downtown Athens, and the rest in the nature around the city.

Last year we filmed the bicycle circle in Athens.
