We in Fiji are the first 800 and something thousand people in the world to greet the new day everyday. Being a native of a tiny island country that is almost invisible on the world map (thank God for dots), i am thrilled to know that although we are as such, we are the first to greet the new day, everyday. Right above the heading of our daily nespaper is the print "The first newspaper published in the world today", every time i see it, i smile. I work in a town about 45 minutes drive away from the town i live in. I leave home at around 6.30am except when i have court matters. I can document being one of the first individual to see the clock tick 00.00am or 11.11am on 11.11.11 or await to greet the sunrise that breaks from the horizon.
