Who are you and what is your profession?
My name is Jered Love and I am the community leader with imagine1day. An organization that is devoted to bringing quality, primary education to every child in Ethiopia by 2020.

Can you tell us a little about your background and upbringing?
I grew up in a large family of nine. Five out of the seven children were adopted, I being one of them. I've been fortunate to be able to come from a very diverse and unique background that's filled with stories and adventures. I currently live in Vancouver, Canada, working for an amazing organization, which enables me to do what I want to do everyday.

What inspired you to be a filmmaker?
imagine1day strives to tell a story. Stories that are filled with hope, inspiration and authenticity. I've always loved stories and I believe that every single person, no matter the background, personality or history has one to tell.

I'm not a filmmaker by trade, but at imagine1day, I have the opportunity to work with some of the amazing footage from our talented communications officer, mali kos, to tell the story of the children who have and will be attending the schools we build in rural Northern Ethiopia in partnership with the communities and the government.

Who are your heroes?
There are many heroes in my life. I believe the heroes in my life are the ones that are in my life and have and will always inspire me. The people in my life who impact me the most are the ones that I can experience my story with and I can be a part of theirs.

What do you feel you want to shoot on 10.10.10?
We'd like to shoot a day in the life of one of our students who attend our community schools in Ethiopia (imagine1day.org/projects.htm).

Why is this important to you?
We'd like to show the world that a child from one of the poorest nations in the world can have the opportunity to go to school with the help of people from all over this planet. We want to show everyone how something that is so simple is such an important part of these children's lives. We want to show hope and a brighter future does exist within a country that has endured so much hardship.

Education is the backbone of every society and Ethiopia is dedicated to bring quality primary education to every child in the country. imagine1day and Ethiopia believes that the education of children will set the nation onto a path of greatness.
