The World's Story is Yours to Tell
Diffused Axonal Injury
The brain is the most delicate and if I may say so, the most beautifully intricate organ of the human body. Concussion derived from the Latin word, concuture i.e. to shake violently, is the most common type of traumatic brain injury. In this experiment, the simulation of the head subjected to impact acceleration was conducted to understand the mechanisms of diffused axonal injury. A brain injury can be divided into two types. First, the focal brain injury, for example the subdural hematoma and the epidural hematoma can be easily diagnosed using a CT or MRI. The second, diffused brain injury can be diagnosed on the basis of physiological responses. Watanabe et al in their simulated experiment "Head Impact Analysis related to mechanism of the DAI (Diffused Axonal Injury)", confirmed that the greater stress areas of the brain matched the fact that DAI often involve injury in the Corpus Callosum and brain stem. Moreover the brain dysfunctions due to an injury in higher stress areas correspond to residual disability after the DAI. We expect that the injury in brain stem and cerebrum is essential to the DIA.

goood research on an informative topic!! had a good knowledge brain system!!:D
Thank you so much for your comments. I am glad you all like my research and am delighted by the fact that you learnt something useful from it.
your piece has inspired me to research more about the brain, which i would have never have done
I have to say this piece of yours is really fascinating and informative
Nice....A lot of information to be gained from this.
I didnt even know that there are so many types of brain Injury!!
But i now i do thanks to you!!
Hey I just love your research. Its something i have never heard of before. I think we should all do some more research on it.
wow ! the information is very informative and i gained so much from it.
the information youve shared with us is fantastic i would never even think of finding and reading something like this
It is really informative and i gained a lot of information from your post. Furthermore, it has inspired me to do more research on my project
