YAY! I successfully uploaded a video for the first time in 3 years. 009 on vimeo, but I don't know how to put it here... It seems like I advance each year but not quick enough to keep up with the media demands. This is rather exclusive of my kind and more for the tech savvy. Too bad, I have a story to tell also. It continues to be skipped.

Thanks for the extra time to get video submissions in! I've learned and accomplished a LOT since "AAARRRRGG!" and should be mailing a dvd in this week. No way to upload from my computer. I'm having fun adding music and text and narrative, but cutting the time down has been a hard lesson in objectivity. Not saying I did the greatest job, but for a first time I averaged just over one minute per hour of the filming time. The fear of the computer and software has left me. Next time I'll have a…

Well, 7.4GB of digital footage later...I can't figure out how to edit it! I'll not give up yet, but have that feeling of dread each time I aproach the computer to try yet again. I'm longing for the simple days of 8mm film and a splicer in the bathroom! Can anyone offer helpful suggestions? Or come over and edit with me? :-/

I noticed as I was filming this morning how much more aware of my surroundings I was as well as my interaction within the setting. Very interesting. Remained quieter while checking camera on tripod, and didn't sing very loudly on the drive in as I was filming. This gives one a rather new perspective on the day knowing that it will likely be viewed by MANY other people who don't know me. Really wish that this was yesterday, when I wasn't working and had a very fun and full day. Oh well.
