Our mission is to empower the world’s poorest citizens to participate in the community media movement so they can right the wrongs they witness and become players in the global media revolution. Providing disadvantaged communities with the journalistic, critical thinking and creative skill they need, we create financially self-sustaining, locally-owned grassroots projects that teach people to articulate and share their perspectives on the issues that matter to them, on a local and a global scale.

What did you film on 12.12.12?

We will shoot videos that will capture glimpses of life on a single day within marginalized communities living in twenty four states of India. These videos will be shot by our countrywide network of Community Correspondents each of whom represents a marginalized community. Our videos will collectively present a collage of the cultural, social and economic diversity of these communities, that will add colours, depth and richness to the proposed One Day On Earth project.
