What did you film on 12.12.12?: Nature, land, birdlife in the Dandenong Ranges - where nature and animals are at, in this time of our life on earth. Kids at Sherbrooke School in the Dandenong Ranges - sheep on campus, chickens, what children are learning - snippets of information on science, nature surrounding, the communiity in the hills. Looking at development, urban sprawl, suburbs encroaching on hills - see the pressure, fires, housing development as Melbourne city grows. My mother remembers life in Dandenong with nature around - i will return to the place i was born, at the bottom of the hills - see the creek wind down - pollution. See the multicultural and refugee and Moslem and Russian community, that i am a part of (grew up in Dandenong amidst this multicultural group - growing from English to Italians and Greeks, to Russians & Albanians in the 60's to 70's, to the new communities from Afghanistan, Sudan - see the changes in Dandenong from Aboriginal, to farmland, to industrial growing thriving city - witness the changes, recording the moments, the people that make up the places around us - and how they reflect history itself - we are part of history changing. I am most interested in recording nature and urban growth - and the populations that make up that growth - and in partiicular the move from farming land to industrial zoning.
