We plan to share the story of Los Angeles that lives beneath its glamorous, cynical, world-famous exterior. On October 10, 2010, we will walk from one end of Los Angeles to the other, capturing a full 24 hours of a city that most people have never truly seen. From the street, we will gather interviews - both planned and extemporaneous - that reveal truths about the city and its residents.
We recently began a pan-media project entitled "What We Know About Love" aimed at creating a matrix of thought, data, imagery and music as a way of asserting commonality across cultural, spiritual, social, economic and national divides. Home to the highest percentage of immigrant population in the nation, Los Angeles acts as a microcosm of our planet - representing all that differentiates us as well as all that make us One. We feel our efforts to engage and join people in a dynamic and exploratory social forum are highly congruent with the aims of One Day On Earth.
Thank you for this opportunity to share What We - and Los Angeles - Knows About Love with the greater community. We look forward to working with you.
Hey, guys! I really like your 10.10.10 video, especially the part where your friend tries to define love. It's a great representation of how completely indescribable it is, and I had to laugh when he said love goes hand in hand with addiction and obsession because I wrote an essay about that in college!
Are you guys going to be participating again for 12.12.12 this year?
