The World's Story is Yours to Tell
We have a footage of our school surroundings. We have tried several times to download it but it wasn't a successful one.
Anyway, the short movie done by high school students displayed a busy day of our school community. People going to work, buses and cars running up and down the streets., students hurrying to school. Although it hadn't been a nice day- a liitle bit cloudy and dull, we thought that we can offer a glimpse of one part of our city Iasi, It is a city situated in the south-east of Romania, with old historical monuments-considered to be the cultural capital of the country-in fact there is a busy cultural life-theatres, cultural evenings and round tables. There are local televisions and radios, universities(law, language, medicine, agriculture. sciences, arts).
The city itself is relaxing as there are parks, botanical gardens, playgrounds and everything a city life should have-of course there is always a need for more but we are glad to have a clean city, peaceful and with nice people.
Of course, we confront ourselves with some problems-especially the roads-but fortunately the city has just started a programme financed by the EU for improving infrastructures.
Another problem the city managers have been trying for years to solve is the problem of stray dogs- there is also a programme for this and recently the Parliament has passed a bill to give more freedom to town halls representatives to decide quicker how to deal with this problem.
