The Hanging gardens in Kibera slums in Nairobi Kenya and Africa's largest slum, with close to one million people living on two and a half kilometer valley without clean running water and sewer lines.
Due to the growing population in Nairobi and Kibera slum, Kibera people have improvised new methods of Vegetables farms through "Hanging Gardens" they plant vegetables at doorsteps in sack which they later sell and also consume. Hanging gardens are working and are also environmental friendly through the use of human waste recycle etc.
