Autism knows no nationality. It knows no color, no religion. It affects people worldwide and we must find a way to stop it. I love my daughter the way she is and her being in my life has made me so much stronger and better. But when she screams in frustration and bites,pinches and scratches herself and those around her because Autism has her tongue it breaks my heart and I long for the day this disorder will not hold another child hostage. Please help in the search for a cure and if you see a child in public, screaming and throwing what you may think is a tantrum, before you make a snide remark or a demeaning stare, consider that this child may be Autistic and instead give their parent an understanding smile....they need it.
