A 100-year record-breaking spawning run of salmon has hit the Shuswap River, here in British Columbia, Canada. On 10/10/10 the Kingfisher Hatchery and Interpretive Center, together with Department of Fisheries and Oceans will be harvesting male/female Coho salmon to repopulate the hatchery as part of their Salmon Enhancement Program.
