There are a few sculptures made from melted down guns in a section of the museum that covers the cost to lives from weapons. So, not all sculptures are glass - but most are. There are pieces in the museum by Dale Chihuly. The center piece of the museum, Flame of Liberty, is a Chihuly piece that he made especially for the museum.

Almost all the sculptures at the National Liberty Museum are glass. There are a few exceptions but the choice of material for sculptures in the museum is purposefully selected to emphasize a point. The reason glass is used pervasively throughout the museum is to illustrate the beauty of Liberty because Liberty, like glass protecting a display or used for a purpose, can be powerful. Liberty, like the transparency of glass, can create clarity. However, glass can also be fragile as is Liberty if we do not tend to it thoughtfully and vigilantly.
