The World's Story is Yours to Tell

Boys in Koranic schools learn to read and write and discuss their human rights. The priest who must house, clothe and feed them is not permitted to take fees from the boys' parents, so they are sent out to beg for food and money. The Tostan program has persuaded women living in the school neighborhood to adopt at least one boy and give him two meals a day so that he no longer needs to beg for food and has more time to learn a job or attend French school.
