Many a teary eye during this service. Solemn and moving. Our first day of 'real' walking took it's toll and we overstayed our 1 hour lunch break. It was a place we wanted to visit. The Memorial for all those who fought valiantly to protect PNG from the Japanese. This memorial was built by the Australian Govt for their soldiers and the fuzzy wuzzy angels who carried supplies, the sick and the wounded on foot for the entire period of the war in 1942.
