This year the event coincided with the 8 month anniversary of the Great East Japan earthquake and tsunami. I went together with some friends to interview and document the situation in a town called Ishinomaki. Met some extraordinary people trying to get their lives and towns back together, and shot some very raw footage of the remains of the disaster- The clean up is underway, but the task is enormous, and the issues to consider for rebuilding are very complex.

    Wonderful time-lapse footage. Great music choice. How do you incorporate a smooth zoom into time lapse filming - is the zoom adjusted in increments - or is that dobe in post?

    Very nice - the results are beautiful have you seen an IMAX film called Chronos with music by Michael Stern? One of the all-time 10 best - yours is reminiscent of that great film.
