I am planning to do a "day in the life" series of photographs with three other photographers. we plan to cover as much of the island"s 238 sq miles as we can and produce a Blurb Book. I live on the Caribbean island of St Lucia.

Hi Ashley,
I have two ideas, both much better with snow, so we'll see what the conditions are like on the 12th. One is to follow some dogwalkers, they have about 10 dogs of different breeds trotting through the snow. The second is to set a camera on a tripod and film a Rumania beggar in the gloss of central Stockholm for a few hours until it becomes dark. The contrast is huge, they kneel on the bare ground, and the warmly dressed Stockholmers politely walk around them. I'm thinking timelapse - I'll film in real time and speed it up in post. Any comments?

Hi Ashley. I'm hoping to perhaps go early and film the fishermen at Qait Bay bringing in their catch. Then film Alexandria 'waking up'....coffee shops preparing for the morning arrivals rather like our 'pubs' in Britain. Men do a lot of networking over their morning tea and sandwiches. Others opening their shops and some preparing their donkeys for the day's walk through the streets together with their loudspeakers shouting their wares. And so on.....

Hello! I am using my phone to record my day. It is an android not an iPhone, do I need a special app for it? So far I've just been using the regular video camera function.

Hi Ashley, I just finished uploading my videos from yesterday on to Vimeo and I had a question to ask about the privacy settings - do we leave the videos set so 'Anyone' can view them or can we restrict viewing until after selections for the final film have been made?

Hi Ashley. We got to film a couple scenes.
- Muizenberg/Kalk Bay sunrise... it was mainly around the Kalk Bay harbour twilight time. Fishing boats bobbing, a lone fisherman, an engaged couple having their photos taken etc
-The Noon gun firing on signal hill Cape Town. the gun fires at exactly 12 noon everyday and has been doing so for 200 years.
We will make sure to get the footage to you guys in time.

I sent an email to the community address, not sure if it went through because I haven't heard back from anyone. I am having problems uploading from Sierra Leone because of the very slow internet we have here. I am traveling to the US and will arrive on January 15. I was asking if I would be allowed to upload my video then. It's a 133 MB file so it shouldn't take too long there; here it takes forever. Please let me know if this is possible.

I had some problem in uploading the clips I took the 12.12..so I tried to upload some of them directly on my vimeo
(I love all this! time running and reverting..just now with my girls my first time on skype..) we living!!
If it would be possible I would like to post on vimeo some other clips of my 12.12.12. Only little pieces of time..
