In Dhaka, a bustling metropolis of twelve million people, visitors are struck by waves of rickshaws. The colorfully decorated non-motorised vehicles are everywhere. Yet rickshaw wallahs, the men who manoeuvre the three-wheelers around the city's congested and polluted streets, often remain voiceless.
Forced by famine, floods, and debt, an estimated nine out of ten rickshaw drivers have migrated to Dhaka, swelling the ranks of the city's urban poor. Mohammad Nantu Sarkar and his wife Fatima lead a hand to mouth existence in Dhaka's slums. They spoke to Siraj Sirajuddin.

Hi Katy,
It would be pleasure for me if we can join in 111111 initiative. Riding on a rickshaw or showcasing different type rickshaw or rickshaw culture or loving on a rickshaw could be attractive and interesting. You know organizing a media production event is expensive. Please let me suggest about arranging the basic cost for the production and events.

o celebrate 101010 Machizo has focused to rickshaw. Rickshaw not only an eco friendly artistic vehicle is import part of Bangladeshi life and art. Without rickshaw Bangladeshi please cannot imagine life, particularly in cities. Although we have taken huge video and photos on the rickshaw issues, but just uploaded only 10 to symbolic celebration of 101010. Tomorrow we will upload video after cut to cut edit.
