About Pacific Primate Sanctuary:

Pacific Primate Sanctuary gives refuge to over 70 monkeys whose native rain forests are in South and Central America. Many were originally taken from their forests for biomedical research and the billion dollar trade in exotic animals.
The Sanctuary provides environmental education to the world community to instill the values and practices of global stewardship.

Since 1984, Sanctuary volunteers have cared for New World monkeys, many donated from research laboratories and rescued from the exotic pet trade.

Pacific Primate Sanctuary is run entirely by Volunteers. It is through the support of compassionate people that we are able to provide a safe haven for animals who have been exploited and abused. PPS needs to construct a 40 foot outdoor enclosure for two rescued Spider Monkey brothers who have spent the past 16 years in a local tourist attraction. This will allow them to move naturally through trees and vines, planted throughout the enclosure, improving their quality of life and restoring some of their birthright.

Please help support our life-saving work by making a donation, or becoming a friend of PPS of Facebook:
