Great ideas chris, Anguke and Mutuzana,
Just to add something to your thoughts:
- Social, Religious or community festivals or other functions on 10.10.10
- Functions or celebrations on big faces like, Gandhi in India, Mendela in Africa
- Unique actions on work and lives that represents the community
- Uniqueness in nature and life (world heritage site, impact of climate change,..)
Thank you.

Some areas that can be added are:
- Video Village setup
- Video kids swimming in a stream/pool
- Video child labour
- Video on street kids
And so on and so forth

Hello iEARN Friends

These and many more should form the areas of recording. October 10th, is a Holiday in Kenya. We could also look at
- Ceremonies
- Picnics
- The needy
Free Choise

Angule

Hi iEARN friends!

Do you have any thoughts on some short, simple autobiographical documentary video ideas students could try on Sunday 10.10.10?

For instance:
* Take a walk through the center of town with the camera on your shoulder
* Video traffic at a busy intersection
* Video children playing in a playground, park, or yard
* Video outdoor workers, working
* Video lunchtime with schoolmates or family
* Video customers and merchants at a busy market

What else could they try?
(What happens in your schools on Sunday - will schools be in session?)

Thanks for your thoughts-
Chris

Chris, I think this is a good idea. We should encourage our students and teachers to make accounts so that they can upload whatever activities they will do in the Month of October.

Hello One Day On Earth and All

Thank you for this clarification. It will give us better direction.

Please set us a place for the 13 to 18 year old.

Hello All, We wanted to just chime in and give a couple pieces of information age limits. We allow members of 13 years of age or higher to participate. Children younger than this must participate through their instructor. If you are working with older students we are happy to create an online class room/group page if it suits your individual schools needs. In this case we would want to give certain administrative access over your students especially those under 18. In addition children under the age of 18 will need to get a release if we are to consider their footage for our motion picture film. We will be sure to circulate this well before it's required. Its great to see your community taking the lead on things. Please let us know if you need anything. Chris is a wonderful organizer. We are so happy to have you take part.

Hi Everyone

I do agree with Chris that we could invite older (16 and over)students on this forum and maybe have another for the younger (Below 16).

This would help us inspire them into action.
What do you say?

Hi everyone-

Yes, Angule, certainly invite your older students at least to make accounts here, and identify themselves as iEARN students, assuming they will be contributing videos later.

Should we invite students to this group as well? Or would you rather we make a separate group for iEARN students?

DO invite other teachers to join this group if they are iEARN teachers (look through the PARTICIPANTS link at the top of this page and see who you recognize - sort by region if it's easier!)

Best-
Chris
