A river is dying due to apathy, callousness and pollution of the very people who use it for drinking. There should be a limit for such irresponsible behavior of people.…Continue

Greetings, all! We here at One Day on Earth are gearing up for 11/11/11 and want you to join! Anyone been thinking of new ideas for November?

Hi everyone. I'm so grateful for this project, what a privilege to see the videos here. I look forward to tapping in when I have a few moments and treating myself to a few at a time.
I made a video to spread the word about a 22 year old, Bradley Manning, facing life imprisonment for refusing to participate in the cover-up of a war crime. On 10/10/10 I was at a wedding in Florida, so the groom shot the video of me reading the script. the issue is bigger than this one soldier, with more of our soldiers in the Iraq & Afghani deployments having died from suicide than from battle. I believe we have to create a forum for our soldiers to speak, the Bradley Manning experience shows us how brutally they are silenced.

anyway, I don't know how to edit (the groom edited in some photos of Bradley Manning) and this video is way too long, so i'm hoping to find a film saavy person here to help me shorten the video.

Ultimately, my intention is to send a shortened video, out to others to ask for collaboration in making a professional grade video with music, a rallying chant, and others speaking the parts, and with the short clip of 'collateral murder' (video on youtube that he is in prison for allegedly leaking) included.

any ideas/resources/help appreciated.
thx,
Sandra

Hello everyone,

The cause that I've documented this 10.10.10 is how do we think we are going to change in ten years. We, the people participating in this project, both the filmmakers and the people being filmed use this project as example of how we, as individuals, can be part of a collective project. This sort of selforganizing free enterprise is something new for us as a society, and in ten years, we should be able to develope ways to create value through such interactions.

What do you think? Where will we be in 10 years?

And in 100?

And in 1000?

http://www.unocent.org is our proposal to act on the micro level, enabiling us to be the filter of what has value on the internet.

Pacific Primate Sanctuary wants to share a slideshow of some of the threatened and endangered rainforest primates at our wildlife refuge. See the faces of the threatened beings with whom we share the Earth and open to the oneness and of all life.

My son will be 7 on 10.10.10. We have always taught all of our children to think of others in need and Keith has the rare opportunity to do something he loves while doing his part to Stomp Out World Hunger. He will be celebrating his birthday in Pittsburgh surrounded by over 3,000 "zombies" in an attempt to break the Guiness World Record for most zombies gathered as they fill our local food banks with canned goods. Because of this event Keith has gathered eight family members and three friends raising 20 cans of food :)

Hello Community,

our cause is Street Poets, Inc. We are a peace-making, poetry-writing non-profit organization dedicated to the creative process as a vehicle for transformational change.

We are located in mid-city Los Angeles, and work with at-risk youth populations through workshops in our offices and in various high schools and juvenile detention centers. We are in the process of creating our 4th album, which is a combination of ancient indigenous music and songs with hip hop and poetry.

Our cause is for the youth. The work we do supports our youth by helping them find their authentic voices and selves through poetry.

Our web page is www.streetpoetsinc.com
