akumassa Surabaya video compilation is part of the overall akumassa workshop program that has been done by Kinetik, group of media studies in Surabaya in cooperation with Forum Lenteng, a non profit media development and community in Jakarta. ( http://forumlenteng.org )

Akumassa itself is a program of advocacy and community development in the form of workshops (workshop) is facilitated by the Forum Lenteng. Basically, the program akumassa is about using the medium of video, text and online media in the communities of young creative people (students, young artists, local cultural actors) in Indonesia to encourage independence in the community. This program focuses on the assessment aspects of social and cultural set up as learning material in order to pursue participatory awareness of the issues that will live in the community. In this short video compilation, there are several video that are the focus for Kinetik and Forum Lenteng in recording small narratives, social issues, historical and contemporary in the city of Surabaya.
