Event Description
The Saint Lucia National Trust is organizing an island wide Tree Planting exercise as part of the One Day on Earth/12.12.12 Project. This forms part of the Governor General's challenge to plant 5000 trees for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Since 11.11.11, the Trust in collaboration with the Forestry Department, RISE St. Lucia Inc and many citizens and residents have planted 2,391 trees in various areas which were left bare by Hurricane Tomas in 2010.
