The World's Story is Yours to Tell

Hey everyone, I thought as the new members sign up, go ahead and say hi and let us know if you have any leads on a birth for 10.10.10. or if you need some help finding someone. Or maybe you are an expectant mom to be that has joined. Either way, say hi.

Thanks for joining up :) We can do this. I know someone is going to pull this off.

I am an apprentice midwife, doula, and CBE in the Houston area of TX. I am going to hit up the Greater Houston Midwives Association (and the mom I am working with due on October 5th) to see if I can film if anyone goes into labor on 10.10.10.

Here's to hoping, yes?

Thanks to Pacing the Panic Room for sending the information my way. Hey, perhaps if we get enough women birthing, that might be a completely other film project? With enough support, we are bound to find more than one. :)
Hi, I'm due around 10/10/10 with my 2nd. We live in Charlottesville, VA and we were planning on having the birth at home and photographed when we still lived in Austin (just moved here less than 2 weeks ago!). I would totally love a professional video made and think it would be so cool to have it done in a super8 format. I'll have to check and see if the hospital here (no longer doing a home-birth) allows video... :)
Hi, I am scheduled to deliver my fourth child (1st son) via c-section on 10/10/10. I live in California. My husband and I are so excited! Would love to have a professional video made, not sure if the hospital will allow it. I'll have to check on it.
How great. Sending good vibes your way. It sounds like you have all the bases covered. Definitely keep us posted here :)

I have a beautiful Cambodian mother due with her 2nd on the 14th, but husband (from Puerto Rico - you should SEE their kid, MAN! what a beauty!!!) loves numbers and is "praying hard" the baby comes on the 10th. lol.
I also have another 1st time mom due the 10th, about 2 hours from me. She's "in" as well.
So we'll see! I'm hunting for more on my local pregnancy boards and Craig's List.
I'm in MN.

I'm a child/family photog, with some video/editing experience. but I have not filmed a birth yet, other than my own. ha!
I might have some expectant mothers in that area I could get you in touch with. I will check back and get you the info soon if it looks like a match.

Did you ever hear back from the hospital about filming?

Just following up to see if the hospital you are going to will allow filming?

Not scheduled to see my doctor until 10/4 as he is on vacation. Will that be too late to find out about filming? I know they don't normallly allow parents to film in delivery room during the surgery. I just don't know if they would allow it for a film production...that is something different to me.

I am a photographer in Oregon. I specialize in birth stories, but do other things, obviously:

I have some connections around the area and have a friend who is due on 10.07 with her 2nd. I have put out a message on my blog and sent an email to some midwives in the area. Hoping to help where I can with this amazing project!
Hi Ryan,
looks like this baby is coming early- like tomorrowish! So no 10/10/10 birth here. I hope this project finds a birth to film on that day- that will be an amazing video!
I'm in northern IN hoping to have baby #2 on 10-10-10
All right, last post was premature- the impending labor was a false alarm! I've actually regressed in my prenatal appt stats (?!!) and the Dr. doesn't think I'll have the baby this week. But maybe Sunday the 10th? I hope so! Also found out I can use a video camera before and after the baby is born but not during.
