Dear iEARN friends,

The Global Education Conference started Monday and runs all this week. It's a free, live, online conference on global education - there are almost 400 sessions running at all hours of the day, from some 62 countries, and in many languages (although mostly in English.) It's sponsored by the US State Department I believe, and is partnered with iEARN among many other organizations. It's free! Please see their site at http://www.globaleducationconference.com and see what they are offering that interests you!

Specifically, tomorrow, on Thursday 18 November, from 8:00–9:00 am EST (GMT-05) I will be moderating a workshop on iEARN's One Day in the Life, including our participation in the One Day on Earth project. You are invited to join us!

If you participated in the One Day on Earth project, or in any project connected with iEARN's One Day in the Life project, we'd love to hear your experiences - what worked well? What didn't? What advice would you give new participants? What could we do better?

If you've never participated in the project, this is your chance to learn more about it, meet some of the other teachers involved, and ask questions.

It's easy to participate - you just need an internet connection. You don't even need to register - just click on the link to connect. The webinar software, Elluminate, works through your browser and automatically loads when you connect. A set of headphones is recommended, and a simple microphone (like the one probably built into your computer) is needed to speak or ask questions. But you can also type your questions or comments into a chat window. If you've never used Elluminate, you'll find it very easy.

Hello Chris,
Thanks for organizing all of our videos in one place. This makes it very easy to share. I also have student videos....however I organized how my students posted their work a little differently. I actually attempted to have my students upload their own videos to their own accounts here :). Admitedly it has been difficult...as unfortunately they have missed steps all along the way :), from saving the unrendered version of the videos, to forgeting their passwords. Ah 13 year olds :) Does anyone have any suggestions for how I might post the my students videos here as well?

My students have also filmed themselves on this great day. I invite you, your students, and colleagues to view and comment on our videos. My students will be commenting on yours. I'd love it if we could begin a dialogue between classes.
