Hi Marissa! Yes I filmed making Spanish Chorizo in rural Spain. I think this is all you need in life: good health, love and GOOD NATURAL FOOD. I am sending the films by DvD to the Santa Monica Adress as I had problems trying to download them to the ODE website.

what about you? did you filmed any interesting things? best and Happy 2013.
best
Ivan

Marissa,

YES! I will be participating this year again wouldn't miss it. I am in NYC this year and plan on spending the day walking around the city capturing moments in people lives (including mine). Also if there is anything is particular you want covered in NYC let me know I can try to add some coverage.

Wish me luck.

I can't wait I love this event so much. We'll be here on the Lower East Side, now I have Tiki our newest rescue girl. I'll have my hands full literally, I will have a camera mounted on Oscar's stroller so my free hand will have Tiki's leash and Oscar in the stroller, we'll be a mini studio LOL

Hi Marissa,
Much thanks for encouraging comments. I'd like to do something for 12.12.12. Not sure what yet, but will think of something spontaneously as the day unfolds perhaps. But I'll start thinking now ... and be prepared.

Thanks for your kind comments. It was Gotan Project you heard. I won't be filming this years as I have to work and it's not possible for me to film the people I work with.

Hey Marissa. Actually they were poppies to commemorate Armistice Day - the end of the fighting of the First World War. I'm definitely planning to film at the moment - work permitting - thanks for the heads up on the overarching theme - I'll keep it in mind and work with that.
Cheers!
Alan

hi Marissa As i'll be at work all day on the 12/12 :-( I'll try to get some early morning shots of London's East End, a place of contrasts. After that i think I'll try to interview an artist in his studio about the need for art in today's world. There won't be much natural light so here's hoping for a result.

Hi Marissa
Yes I would like to contribute again this year. The theme is a thought provoking one and I have just put my "thinking cap on". I hope that I can come up with some relevant footage on the "Day".

Hi again Marissa, I am a good friend for the most NGOs who are working to aid refugees. i am thinking to spot the light a litle bit on the siruation here, some statistic about the nomber of refugees. then i will talk about how the refugees manage to cope with the new situation and how the NGOs are helping them. will talk about food, health, education .. etc. i am thinking about reflecting hope and struggle of those people. talking alittle bit about the value of volunteering during the last 20 months.
i will discuss the idea with all my friends on the field and keep you posted :)
but i need some technical information about the film, like duration or any requirement
thank you

do you think it will be good if i make a film about NGOs contribution to help the syrian refugees in Aleppo city where i am living now, there are more the 160 schools full of refugees, and a lot of other places where people will face hard and cold winter. and NGOs do their best to help them and give the humanitarian aids

Dear Marissa,
thank you for your kind words, actually i am not working any more with UNDP because they closed the Women empowerment project in Syria. i still have the same interest cause i belive in women roles and i believe they contribute alot during this hard situation we face in Syria. i thought a lot about filming a short video about women's roles during the war. but i am really afraid cause i am not a UN staff any more and i don't have amunity so i may be hurt. this will not be my last decision, and i will try to do something to this unique day. but i can never promise
all the best
karam
