Agus Makkie is the Wisdom Traveler. He is a 2-year veteran of the One Day on Earth project who shoots simply moving and personal moments of life in Jakarta, Sydney, or wherever he may be. You can see his beautiful 11.11.11 material below!

"...Wisdom Traveler is about moving on and stepping outside the comfort of locality, past glory and traditions in order to capture the hidden beauty of something foreign and the passions behind them. It is a cultural movement in finding something new to learn and in sharing something good to others by trying to understand various local wisdom within the colorful tapestry that weaved Indonesia together.

"It is all about celebrating and sharing these stories to learn how they can be relevant in our everyday life and eventually, as world citizen to take these stories beyond local border and bring them globally. Working with other cultures to find the inter-connection and mold them into one wisdom that can build a shared feeling of respect to build a better future."

One Day on Earth: Who are you and what is your profession?
Agus: I am a film director with a graphic designer base.

One Day on Earth: Can you tell us a little about your background and upbringing?
Agus: I was in the advertising industry for 20 years; directing TVC and music video since 2003, and now I've started making more documentaries.

One Day on Earth: What inspired you to become a filmmaker?
Agus: Seeing people doing their work with passion and good will, especially in filmmaking.

One Day on Earth: Who or what do you most admire?
Agus: Creative personality all around the world in any field of creativity.

One Day on Earth: What do you have?
Agus: I have my passion to do my Wisdom Traveler projects, do more documentaries and share to the world. I feel like I am already citizen of the world.

One Day on Earth: What do you need?
Agus: I need to go further and roam around the world bringing my Wisdom Traveler idea.
