My One Day on Earth Experience

I came across the One Day on Earth project via my Twitter network. The One Day on Earth project is a world-wide collaboration where people documented various happenings on October 10,2010, or 10/10/10.

I turned it into a mandatory lesson for my 12th grade POD class and my 9th grade Honors Civics class. I left it as an optional assignment in my other classes, although I introduced the social media lesson to

all of my classes. I believe the students need to understand…

One Day on Earth Project

Hey, I'm Katie and I'm in Mr. Sal's eighth period Civics. For a graded assignment, my class had to do a One Day on Earth project. We split ourselves up into two groups. For our project, my group did a time lapse. We each had to take a few pictures of various things on October 10, 2010. We decided to do this because it shows the way things change over time in just the matter of twenty four hours, hence the title "One Day on Earth".

Stewart S. One Day On Earth Project

Hi I’m Stewart and I am in Econ/Pod period 3. In this class we had to do a project called One Day On Earth and my group chose to do firefighting for our project. We chose this project because we felt that it would be easy to accomplish and to get done which in my eyes it was. My job for this project was to go and actually get all the pictures that we needed to get this project done and I feel with the work we did that our project turned out good. There are a few things though that I would like… Continue

One Day on Earth Project Blog Post

Hi I am Marc G. and this is my One Day on Earth project. Before I get into detail, I would like to tell you a little about myself. I am a freshman and in this Honors Civics class, run by Mr. Sal. My project was a timeline on 10/10/10 which was a perspective of how the day turns out in nature. In my opinion, my project turned out pretty good, I took picture on two different points to see how the weather changes overtime. But, if I had to change anything, I would have changed…

My 10-10-10 project reveiw

Hello, my name is Dominic G. and i am in Mr. Sal's 8th period honors Civics. For the last few weeks with other students in my class have created a time lapse video for the One Day on Earth project. For this project every person in our group was required to make a ten picture time lapse video on the date of 10-10-10. I think this project was fun and entertaining. My group worked well together which I believed made it more fun to do. I took the pictures of the street in front of my house from my… Continue

My One Day on Earth Project

Hi, my name is Brandon W. and I'm in Mr.Sal's Honors Civics class. Our class took part in the One Day on Earth project for 10.10.10. Our group created time lapses for the project. We decided to take ten pictures, one every hour, of a specific area of our choice. We put them into videos to represent the day and showcase the changes it went through. It was an entertaining and educational experience. The project was something different and I think it went really smooth. I wouldn't change anything… Continue

One Day on Earth Project Blog Post

Hello, my name is Amber, from Mr. Sal's honors civics class. For my group's One Day on Earth Project, we decided to take pictures of one or two different objects, in nature, during 3 certain times of the day (one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one in the evening). Personally, I think our project turned out to be fairly well and our pictures turned out great. I also liked working in the group that I worked in. Everyone pitched ideas and we all agreed on one project. We chose this… Continue

My 10/10/10 Project Info

My name Bobby W., I'm in Mr. Sal's Honors Civics class. For 10/10/10 our group
made a time lapse project by taking a picture of nature every hour for 10 hours on 10/10/10 we did this because we thought it would turn out pretty flipping awesome and it did just that. The only thing I would have done differently is that I would have taken less pictures in the dark.

1 day on earth project

My project was that on 10/10/2010 I went outside of my house and took a picture once an hour in the same spot of the same exact thing. My pictures capture the sky a tree and my road. I picked this project because it allows me to capture the world. I also made an animoto video with all of my pictures. If I could change anything about it would be that I would take 1 picture a day for 10 days at the th same time. I believe that my project turned out good
