Hi Kato, I'm just an insignificant, can't help financially, no-one, in Australia. But thanks to Facebook, I can do what I can, to put your message onto the global stage, after all - they say there's only six degrees of separation! Thank you, you are an inspiration!

Hello Every One!
I am called Kato from Uganda. I am a Director of a non-profit making Community Based Organization called Integrated Community Development Initiative (ICODI), Our main aim is to reduce on the high levels of poverty, famine and poor health especially malnutrition among the children.

In our health focus also, we deal in HIV/AIDS, Malaria and TB awareness and Prevention Measures, these are the major epidemic diseases that kill hundreds of Ugandans per day.

In the line of reducing famine and poverty, we train the rural poor on how to start small sustainable household income generating activities in order to avoid famine and poverty, we train and support the rural poor on how to start small sustainable farming, agriculture and we also train them about book keeping in order for them to be able to track the performance of their small scale household income generating activities.

We have written several proposals in all the above areas ie Health, famine and poverty but we have no where to send them for help and knowledge. we are really stranded in our work due to lack of help.

We are currently using the small members' subscription fees to run very small project.
we have got several photos about our activities, any body interested to see them can contact me on the below address.
Any knowledge, help or link given to us will be highly appreciated!
Note: we also welcome volunteers or Interns and also interested in collaboration with individuals or organizations that may like our work of helping the rural poor communities in Uganda.
Hope to hear from you
Regards
Kato
