imagine1day is a charity based in Vancouver, BC Canada and our work takes us to Ethiopia where we have a goal of providing quality education to every Ethiopian funded free of foreign aid by 2030. With One Day On Earth, we would like to tell a simple, powerful story of one of our students at our schools in rural, Northern Ethiopia by following and filming him/her her for an entire day on 10/10/10. We want to show a simple story of a child walking to one of our schools, the lessons they learn during the day at school and their interactions with other students, teachers and community members. Ultimately, through a simple story, we want to show the world the impact that education has on the lives of children and the future of a country. We imagine one day when a country can achieve greatness through the power of education and we want to show that through powerful stories. We believe the One Day On Earth is the catalyst to telling and sharing stories that truly impact and move hearts to action.
