What did you film on 12.12.12?

I would like to engage a small group of my high school and/or middle school students to explore what topic they would choose to document. Perhaps a summary of the climate impact of one day of our school population's typical activity (including commuting to and from school). We live in a suburban environment and draw automotive commuters from across our city. The students are all out of school at the moment, so I would wait until the start of school in mid-August to begin the brainstorming/inquiry and planning process with the students themselves. Our population is a generally affluent one, but our students are grappling with their impact as consumers, and our school regularly addresses environmental, economic and community service issues, as well as training our kids to be leaders. We have a number of independent student filmmakers in our community.
