A company Christmas party scheduled for 12/12/12. I work part time (meaning 6 days a month) for an Anchorage Real Estate company as an Assistant Controller/Bookkeeper, and I was charged with planning the company Christmas gathering.
I have done events on the cheap before, and was thrilled that I could use my skills to throw a lovely, catered soiree. I feel that Martha Stewart herself will be proud with what I plan to create with a budget of $400.
As a side note, I am using the party as an opportunity to introduce people in my sphere of influence to each other for the purposes of several "greater goods". The first "good" is to introduce my employers from both my part time positions so that one may rent space in the building of the other for a great rate, and can take proximity advantage of my working in the same place so that I can do both easier and cheaper. The second is to introduce my significant other, a Republican (no one is perfect) former legislator who runs a P/R firm to the same lady for purposes of working out a deal to represent her. It would be nice to see them (and perhaps me) benefit from the association.
Meanwhile, my personal business, Gold Ring Group (a partnership with award-winning editor, Brad Swenson, established 2011) is editing video for the Architecture Dept. of Virginia Tech for their 40th anniversary.
Did I mention we (my "sphere") are very passionate, peace-loving people that feel a desperate need to spread a message of love, hope, and pro-activity to all who will listen?
Thank you for your consideration of these details.
