350 day, on the 10th of the 10th 2010, will host a series of global activities to raise awareness of the dangers posed by climate change.

Scientists say that 350 parts per million CO2 in the atmosphere is the safe limit for humanity. We’re currently sitting at 390 parts per million and rising. We need to get cracking on action.

One move that significantly reduces our personal carbon emissions is to reduce or cut out meat from our diets. According to a 2005 University of Chicago study, a vegetarian emits far less greenhouse gas than meat eating counterparts—the difference is equivalent to around 1.5 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year.

We’ve got an amazing bounty of delicious food we can eat anyways, so we’d like to celebrate our gratitude for this through hosting a vegetarian community dinner picnic on the evening of October 10th.

All picnickers will bring a plate of delicious vegan, raw or vegetarian food and share with everyone who'd like to join in, and I'm keen to film what ensues.
