Hi Everyone! Hello from Shanghai! I'm planning to take on the Uniform Project.

http://www.theuniformproject.com/

I pledged to wear a Little Black Dress for 365 days as an exercise in sustainable fashion. I will also try to get people in Shanghai to join this challenge in sustainable fashion. Advices, comments, or anything are all welcome!

Hi folks - I hope you all had a great 10th. My thought on sustainability is around reuse. We're into solar power, minimal impact - but we see such opportunity in reusing items that others view as trash. We're building a small camp in in Maine using 80% materials on the site or salvaged from the dump, tag sales, etc.

I spent the10th working on the cabin and enjoying the lake.

I go to a small liberal arts school in Ashland, WI, that is all about environmental sustainability. That said, I'll be filming the multiple ways my campus uses and re-uses items and energy. Hopefully all goes well.

The bright light that shines at sunrise lifts the heeavy heart. The breath of a new morning sends a message: yesterday is gone with all its challenges and a fresh start begins. Between sunrise and sunset, a man reminisces of his days and patiently waits for a new dawn.
I met Desmond Tutu, the South African Nobel Laureate in Ghana two weeks ago: his lifestyle and fight for global peace through various foundations is a significant exmple that can lead to a more sustainable future.

I am going to enlighten everyone about how convoluted we as human beings have become. About the slow loss of the human condition and our transition into a machine state of mind. Perfection is not so much our friend as it is the enemy. This goes down to bacteria and antibiotics; if one takes too much eventually the bacteria that survives and grows stronger will take you down. If we as humans try to destroy the imperfections, the one that will get us in the end is ourselves. We must learn how get over what the outside opinion has to say and what the risks might be, and go with it. Specifically, in America today.

Socially, I hope many people hear my story and learn how to come together and actually talk about what they think instead of an editorial spread or a commercial.
