Hmm yeah, I'm not sure if there is anyone in Mindanao who is filming. Probably not in the area that I'm living. If all goes well I can film. Life is a bit unpredictable here, but the other midwives here think it's a great idea so I'll see what I can do! Also, the midwife that I want to interview, Joesphine, is 19 and traveled down here to the city from the bukid to train and go back to her village. She would be an amazing person to interview as I fully believe that maternal mortality rates will not improve unless we have midwives (globally) going to the rural areas to train other midwives. That's my goal as a global midwife. Each one teach one.

Beth, this is such important work that you do. I hope you find some time to document it in some way on 10.10.10. I wonder if there is anyone signed up to film that is near you?

I am going to try. It depends on many factors. :) but I plan on it and also interviewing some of the indigenous midwives who are being trained here to go back to their villages to serve women there.

Hi. I work as a midwife at a charity based birth center in the Philippines where we serve women living in poverty in Davao City. I guarantee there will be a birth happening here on 10/10/10

Hi there! I found this via @RoyNaim. My wife was due October 3rd, this past Sunday. We just got back from the doctor and nothing yet! We're hoping for 10/10/10! Next appointment is on Monday, 10/11/10, but doctor said things are moving along! Who thinks we got this in the bag? Video camera is all ready! Thanks, 1-day on Earth!

I'm giving birth around 10/10/10. If we're lucky I'll be sending in a video of it. Either way I'm going to try to work it in somehow.
